  3.    I downloaded this file from GEnie, but the archive contained no DOCs.
  4. I will share with you some things I learned by trial and error:
  5.  
  6.    This program will convert a music module to a stand alone executable
  7. file.  It uses ARP.Library, so you will need that in your LIBS: directory.
  8.  
  9.    Run MODProfessor0.9 from the CLI.  When the window comes up, go to the
  10. TYPE menu and select the appropriate module type.  (If you're not sure of
  11. the pedigree, take a guess.  Most of the files in our club library are
  12. either "New SoundTracker" or "NoiseTracker")
  13.  
  14.    Select the "LOAD" gadget or the "Open" option from the "Project" menu.
  15. Make your selection from the file requester.  The program will begin the
  16. conversion automatically, and if all goes well, it mill be moted in the 
  17. status line at the bottom of the window.

  19.    If you want the converted file to have a "Jam Box" icon, select ICON 
  20. from the "Special" menu before saving, and the program will generate one.
  21.  
  22.    Clicking the SAVE gadget, or selecting SAVE from the Project menu
  23. brings up another file requester.  (Guess what you do now!)
  24.  
  25.    If all goes well, you should now have an executable version of your
  26. original MOD file.  If all you get is "junk noise" when you run it, then
  27. you probably need to try another option from the TYPE menu.

  29.    When you want to stop the music:

  31.    If you started it from the CLI, use CTRL-C or BREAK (n).

  33.    If you started from WorkBench, press and hold Left Mouse Button and
  34. then click Right Mouse Button.
